3D/2D Garden Mosaics
Dates: 22 May - 26 May 2017 (mon - fri)
Location: Elphin near Ullapool
Course Places : Spaces available
Price : £380
This course provides an opportunity for development for those who already have attended the two-day Introduction to Garden Mosaic or who have some prior experience of making mosaic.
With an increased emphasis on design, cutting skills and internal pattern-making, during the five days you will learn the reverse method of mosaicing, used to create a table top that has an even surface that is beautiful and durable. We will also find time for you to make and mosaic a small sculpture. And for those who work fast, there may even be time to make a small wall plaque too! A wide range of frost-proof materials will be provided and you will be taught how to reclaim and cut up coloured glass from wine bottles to produce intricate shapes to add to your mosaic work.
All your work will be quite heavy, so it is an advantage if you can travel by car or arrange for your work to be uplifted.
The cost of this course includes all materials (including the table top and the sculpture form), refreshments and a cooked vegetarian lunch each day.

Much of the attraction of this area of the country is the wildness it has retained as a result of the limited impact of human habitation. Of course, this means that there are fewer choices of accommodation for the intrepid visitor, but there are still a wide number of options, many of which can be found on the Accommodation links page.
